In this meetup, you'll learn about the best camera settings for nighttime photography. We'll also explore the kinds of light available to us and how to use that light to make some awesome photos. As always, there are exercises that will help you put your new knowledge to work.

We'll start with covering the various exposure settings of your camera and how to use them in different situations. We'll also talk about how to compose your images well using various techniques. You'll have the chance to put your new knowledge to good use through several fun and challenging exercises.
50mm Lens Meetup

The 50mm lens is one of the flexible and useful lenses in any photographer's gear bag. It is neither a wide-angle nor telephoto lens but allows the camera to see on the same scale as your eye. As such, it can be used for a variety of styles, from landscape and street photography to portrait and product photography. In this meetup, we'll review the basic camera settings. We'll then cover some of the advantages of shooting with a prime lens, and some basic techniques for using the 50mm lens. As always, there will be ample opportunities for you to put your new knowledge into practice.

In this class, we'll do a review of our camera's manual settings and talk about the best settings for different kinds of street photography. We'll talk about some of the composition tools that will help make your street photography stand out. Then we'll put this learning to practice with a few exercises highlighting different techniques.

Outdoor Portrait Photography Meetup

We, as photographers, are called many times to do outdoor portrait work. Studios can be expensive or may not be available, clients may want an on-location shots, or you're shooting at an outdoor event. Whatever the reason, it's good to know how to see and control outdoor natural light in order to get the best portrait photos. This class will cover outdoor lighting and some basics of working with a model/subject.
